HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) -- Court wrapped up day two of the punishment phase for Rogelio Martinez, the man convicted of killing San Benito police lieutenant Milton Resendez in 2023.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

On day two, the defense is asking jurors to look beyond the crime and consider Martinez's troubled childhood.
