(KGNS) - More buoys continue to appear along the riverbank, with markers seen going north and south of both Bridge 2 and Colombia over the last few days.

Laredo Mayor Dr. Victor Trevino said over the weekend that witnessing the reinstallation of the buoy barrier system was a sad day in the community's history.

Trevino said he is in close contact with Congressman Henry Cuellar and that both object to the installations."The river is the only source of drinking water for us," Trevino said.
