HOWE, Texas (KXII) - Howe's Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Jake Smith has been reinstated and cleared after being placed on administrative leave earlier in the week.

The school district stated that evidence gathered by a third-party investigator did not indicate that Smith violated applicable state or federal laws, but the investigator identified a need to improve professional communications.

As a result, Smith was reinstated to his positions with the district.
