BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Behind the hype for Saturday's kickoff, police say scammers are targeting those with tickets to the game."It's to take their hard-earned cash from them. People who are really excited about game day and they want to go, and they prey on that excitement that revolves around Saturdays in the fall in College Station, Texas," said Jonathan Blythe, a Public Information Officer for Texas A&M University Police.

Texas A&M Police say they've received reports of scams from both ticket sellers and buyers."They're trying to purchase tickets, and they'll ask, ' Oh, just prove that you are who you say you are and send me a picture of your student ID or something of that effect. And then they will use that photo to further scam other people out of selling tickets," said Blythe.

Police aren't releasing images of the scams.
