GUN BARREL CITY, Texas (KLTV) - Multiple East Texas fire departments worked to extinguish a fire at a business Wednesday in the 700 block of West Main Street in Gun Barrel City.

Firefighters responded around 3:11 p.m. to the business and reported smoke coming from the east end of the building, according to the Gun Barrel City Fire Department.

Due to the size of the building, the department said it requested assistance from Payne Springs Fire Rescue, Mabank Fire Department and Kemp Fire Department to bring the flames under control.
