The Bangs Dragons' quest for a second consecutive postseason berth begins against one of the elite programs in the state - the No. 2 Mason Punchers - in Friday's District 7-2A Division I opener.

Kickoff between Bangs (2-3) and Mason (5-0) is slated for 7 p.m. at the Puncherdome.

"You always want to go into district with a winning record, especially with how young we are," said Bangs third-year head coach Colton Buzzard.
