TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Downtown Tyler drivers and pedestrians face major traffic shifts this week as crews advance infrastructure improvements along Broadway Avenue.

The traffic signal at Broadway Avenue and Ferguson Street was removed, and the intersection is temporarily controlled by all-way stop signs.

Cameron Williams, the city's director of engineering services, said traffic on Broadway Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction, allowing for free-flowing travel as stop signs are removed."We definitely understand this is a change big change and impact," he said Wednesday.
