An off-duty Dallas ISD officer was shot near a Walmart and Sam's Club shopping center off the LBJ Freeway in Northwest Dallas on Thursday morning.

There is a large police presence near the Walmart and Sam's Club stores in Northwest Dallas following reports of a shooting that injured an officer.

What we know: It happened around 11 a.m. on Thursday in a shopping center off the LBJ Freeway near Midway Road.

There are Walmart and Sam's Club stores in that area.
