MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Midland County Commissioners Court has approved funding for a nearly $2. 9 million project to widen a roadway in MidlandThe road being widened is S. County Road 1232, also known as Antelope Trail, in an industrial area south of Interstate 20 and Loop 250 West.

The project will expand the roadway along a two-mile stretch between the Midland city limit at W. County Road 120 and W. County Road 140. The widened road will feature one travel lane in each direction and a center turn lane, allowing turning vehicles to move out of through traffic.

With county roads almost exclusively consisting of two lanes, the project represents one of Midland County's largest road expansions.
