At the Kerrville City Council meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, council is expected to hear a presentation by Assistant Director of Public Works Chris Clark on the purchase of granular activated carbon from Calgon Carbon Corporation, which will be used in the filtration system at the city's water treatment plant.

The purchase amount is not expected to exceed $197,000.
