HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A 45-year-old armed suspect who was allegedly seen shooting at several cars in northeast Houston last week has now been charged, according to the Houston Police Department.

Records shown on Monday revealed that Demetri O'Neal Thomas has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault against a public servant and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Thomas is accused of having an automatic weapon and shooting at moving cars and deputies in the 6300 block of Wayside Drive on Friday afternoon, HPD said.
