Starr County brush fire fully contained, 590 acres burned

A brush fire in Starr County near Rio Grande City has been fully contained after burning approximately 590 acres.

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) - A brush fire that ignited in Starr County has been fully contained, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service.

Approximately 590 acres burned along Las Brisas Road, located northeast of Rio Grande City.

The Starr County Precinct 4 San Isidro Fire Department responded to the brush fire on Wednesday.
