HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A homicide investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed in northeast Houston on Tuesday afternoon, according to investigators.

The Houston Police Department said officers initially received a call a bout a stabbing at about 1:50 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, located in the 8800 block of Lockwood near Laura Koppe Road, they said they found a man had been shot.

Authorities said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
