A public hearing regarding the annexation of approximately 20 acres of land located near the Brownwood Regional Airport into the city limits occurred during Tuesday morning's City Council meeting, which led to a question about AI data centers.

Daniel Graham addressed the Council Tuesday morning during the public hearing and asked about the owner and current use of the property.

Brownwood Industrial Foundation President Angie Shults, who was in an attendance, answered Graham by stating the land had been leased out, but was vacant and was being used for agricluture purposes.
