HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A family doctor from Houston was arrested in connection with tens of millions in fraudulent Medicare claims, according to the FBI's Houston Office.

In a social media post on Monday afternoon, FBI Houston stated that Dr. Joseph Montes was arrested after being federally indicted.

According to officials, the indictment is in connection with more than $20 million in fraudulent COVID-19-related Medicare claims.
