HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A subway system at George Bush Intercontinental Airport built by Disney engineers celebrated 45 years of service on Monday, Houston Airports announced earlier in August.

Since opening on Aug. 17, 1981, IAH's Subway has moved millions of passengers a year through its airport system, according to airport officials.

But how did a Disney-built subway system end up in Houston?
