A man convicted on two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child learned during a courtroom appearance last week he could spend the next three decades behind bars.

Sean Patrick Long was sentenced Thursday by visiting state District Judge Sid Harle to 30 years in a correctional facility operated by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

According to a press release from the Kendall County District Attorney's Office, the investigation began April 17, 2024, when Boerne Police Department Detective James Estrada received a report Long had sexually assaulted a young teenage girl.
