HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston city officials are proposing an $86 million underground stormwater detention basin behind Memorial Middle School in Spring Branch, and some parents and residents are raising safety concerns about the project.

Spring Branch ISD trustees were set to meet with residents Tuesday evening, and the meeting is expected to be packed with parents and residents asking what the construction could mean for safety.

Residents said they do not know enough about the proposal.
