PASADENA, Texas (KTRK) -- ABC13 has confirmed through the Pasadena Police Department and Harris County District Attorney's Office that a now-former officer was able to avoid prosecution by turning in his peace officer license.

"Former Sgt. Michael Palitz has surrendered his Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) license, subject to an agreement with the Harris County District Attorney's Office," a spokesperson from that office said.

"This means he is no longer a licensed peace officer in the State of Texas." Palitz is the officer that ABC13 has been reporting on for weeks for allegedly using Flock cameras to track the movements of a female co-worker.
