LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Four officers from the Lubbock Independent School District Police Department have been recognized for their exceptional service and dedication to the district during the 2025-2026 school year.

Of the officers, three received letters of commendation and the fourth was named as the district's 2026 Officer of the Year.

Chief Eric Tijerina said that while he expects all of the department's officers to perform their duties at a high level, there are times when an officer goes above and beyond what is asked of them.
