(KPLC/Gray News) - A mother in Louisiana was sentenced to life in prison for killing her 4-year-old child and abandoning her baby near an interstate.

Aaliyah Jack, 28, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for killing her son, Legend, and 15 years for cruelty to juveniles for abandoning her 1-year-old child, Kingtrail.

Legend had been living with his paternal grandmother, Dion Polk, since May 2024.
