JASPER COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Murder charges have been dismissed against two men accused in the disappearance and death of Joshua Larkin, the Jasper County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday.

Authorities arrested five men in connection with the case since Larkin vanished on Nov. 17, 2022.

The sheriff's office stated the murder charge against Justin Taylor James was dropped after its investigation revealed the circumstances surrounding Larkin's death did not support the charge.
