LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - The movement of New World screwworm in Texas has been held to the far western and southwestern regions.

Counties from the Texas Valley northwest to the Big Bend region are the only places they have been found.

And to date, control measures with the sterile insect technique have proven successful.
