WILLS POINT, Texas (KLTV) - An experimental kit airplane experienced a ground loop and crashed Thursday at the Van Zandt Regional Airport, according to a preliminary report from the FAA.

A Glasair GlaStar kit airplane was landing when the crash occurred, according to the report.

The collision happened around 12:56 p.m, Wills Point Volunteer Fire Department Chief Ed Leipply said.
