JONES COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A half-mile stretch of U.S. 277 in Jones County has seen dozens of crashes over the past several years, prompting the Texas Department of Transportation to move forward with a resurfacing project aimed at improving roadway conditions.
According to data provided by TxDOT, 27 crashes involving 35 vehicles have been reported since 2020 on U.S. 277 between FM 605 and the Clear Fork of the Brazos River.
