A man was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on Tuesday after he killed a former cellmate inside the Bexar County Adult Detention Center in 2019.

Shandrick Buckley, 39, was on trial for capital murder.

After four hours of deliberations, a Bexar County jury found Buckley guilty.
