WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Texas voters must meet certain requirements to qualify for a mail-in ballot, and the League of Women Voters of Wichita Falls is encouraging voters to understand the rules before applying.
Betty Ritchie, president of the League of Women Voters of Wichita Falls, said eligible voters include those who are 65 or older, have a sickness or disability, expect to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day, or will be away from their county during the required voting period."If you are ill and have an illness, you may apply. If you are in jail and you're not under a felony, you may apply," Ritchie said.
Ritchie said completing all required information is important when submitting a mail-in ballot."You have to complete every single thing. Fill in every blank because if you don't, they may get tossed out," Ritchie said.
