ATHENS, Texas (KLTV) - The Henderson County Performing Arts Center will open "Misery" on Thursday for a four-night run over one weekend.

The play by William Goldman is based on the Stephen King novel about author Paul Sheldon, who is injured in a car crash during a blizzard and taken in by Annie Wilkes, a woman who calls herself his No. 1 fan.

What begins as caregiving turns dark as Wilkes becomes obsessed with him.
