WACO, Texas (KWTX) - As students across Texas return to school, state data shows school bus crashes and school zone accidents increased in 2025, raising concerns among local law enforcement and district officials about driver behavior near campuses.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, there were 2,358 school bus crashes across the state in 2025.

Seven people were killed and 85 were seriously injured.
