One man was killed and two others were injured after a shooting broke out during a large gathering in southeast Houston early Sunday.

Houston police responded around 4 a.m. to the 13300 block of Cullen Boulevard, where investigators said a verbal dispute escalated into a physical confrontation.

A suspect then allegedly opened fire into the crowd, prompting return fire from multiple people.
