COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Longtime Texas A&M football coach R.C. Slocum will be honored with a statue ahead of the 2026 football season.

The sculptor, Steven Whyte, confirmed the statue and unveiling ceremony on social media.

Slocum served as head coach of the Aggies from 1989 to 2002.
