BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Nearly 20,000 people are expected to pack the Bryan-College Station area over the next four days for the "Games of Texas."When you drive around different venues across Bryan and College Station, you may have noticed them transforming into a hub for the largest amateur sporting event in the state.

Bryan-College Station has been chosen as the host site for the Games of Texas for back to back years.

Other host years including 1988, 1994, 2000, 2014, 2015, 2018, and 2019."So it seems to grow every year. We get more people, more athletes in every sport and people seem to love coming to our community. For youth, amateur and youth adult, it's a great way to compete in something that's competitive. In several events, you are a state champion if you do win it, so it does have that prestige," said Matt Minahan, the Bryan Parks and Recreation Supervisor.
