(KXII) - The Love County Sheriff's Office is assisting the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in searching for a man who fought with and injured a trooper Monday.

Authorities said the trooper attempted to arrest the man on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle.

The man fought the trooper, potentially breaking his arm, and fled on foot, according to the sheriff's office.
