(KGNS) - More than 153 pounds of narcotics, including over 19 million potentially lethal doses of fentanyl, were seized during a commercial vehicle inspection this week in Webb County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Special Agents from the DPS Criminal Investigations Division responded to a request for assistance from U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Laredo Port of Entry at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The joint operation was conducted as part of Operation Lone Star.

During an inspection of a commercial vehicle, authorities discovered 94 pounds of fentanyl, 26 pounds of methamphetamine, 18 pounds of heroin and 15 pounds of eutylone.
