COYANOSA, Texas (KOSA) - Members of the Permian Basin Chapter of the Women's Energy Network (WEN) stepped away from their desks and onto the field for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at an active drilling rig in Coyanosa.
Swapping standard office attire for steel-toed boots and pink hard hats, participants attended an educational lunch and guided tour aimed at bridging the gap between corporate offices and field operations."We're so thankful to have this exclusive, one-of-a-kind event," said Candice Schofield, President of WEN's Permian Basin Chapter.
"There's probably not going to be another event like this. It is so unique to be a part of this group, to be on an actual live drilling rig, and to have so many hardworking men and women give us this tour. It's an incredible honor."From nearby highways, drilling rigs can blend seamlessly into the West Texas horizon.
