COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - An accidental flame discharge from a pregame pyrotechnic box triggered fire sprinklers inside a Kyle Field tunnel Saturday morning, hours before Texas A&M kicked off against Arizona State.
The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. in the stadium's south tunnel, before teams arrived on-site.
According to a university spokesperson, the malfunction happened after routine pregame testing."There was an accidental flame emission from one of the boxes in the south tunnel," the university spokesperson said.
