LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - South Plains Electric Cooperative and CoBank donated $10,000 Tuesday morning to Community Partners of Lubbock's Rainbow Room.

The funds allow Child Protective Services caseworkers to purchase emergency items for children in crisis, including clothes, diapers and school supplies."These workers that care for them need to be able to provide the things they need and help them feel safe in a time that doesn't feel that great to them," said Cory Neal with Community Partners of Lubbock."When a community comes together to work together to support the kids that need us the most, that's when we're really proud of the job that we do," said Jason Potter with Community Partners of Lubbock.

The Rainbow Room is entirely community-funded and has helped local foster children since 1998.
