The Whitesboro community is mourning the loss of 52-year-old Tisha Muntz, a mother and former Whitesboro ISD teacher who was killed last week in a head-on collision on Hwy. 377 just north of town.

According to investigators, at approximately 7:15 a.m. on Oct. 29, 37-year-old Christopher Cudd of Denton was traveling north in a GMC Sierra pickup when he attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone.

Authorities say the pickup struck Muntz's southbound Kia Sorento head-on.
