DENISON, Texas (KXII) - A 12-year-old seventh grader has organized a free back-to-school event for the Denison community, offering school supplies and haircuts at no cost.

Liam Graves-Ramsey launched the Kindness Crew in November, spending months collecting donations and planning the event.

He said he used his own money from working to buy supplies for students throughout the year - including a new pair of shoes for a friend whose sole had come off."All my life I've wanted to help people and so I finally figured out a way to do that," Liam said.'I want them to be able to bring their stuff in and be happy'Liam said he noticed students at school struggling and decided to act."I saw kids in school, they're struggling. Teachers won't give them stuff because they've used so much," he said.
