MAGNOLIA, Texas (KTRK) -- Charging documents have revealed that the former mayor of Magnolia has pleaded guilty to assaulting his city secretary while she was pregnant.

On Oct. 2, Matthew Dantzer, 52, was charged with assaulting a pregnant person and was placed on two years of deferred adjudication probation, according to the Tarrant County District Clerk's Office.

A judge placed him on two years of deferred adjudication probation, which means if he successfully completes probation, he can avoid a formal conviction on his record.
