More than one in five Kerr County voters have already cast ballots in the Nov. 3 general election, and the county ranks near the top of the state in early turnout.

Through Thursday, 8,591 Kerr County voters had voted early in person, according to the Texas Secretary of State's office.

That's 21. 61% of the county's 39,762 registered voters.
