PECOS, Texas (KOSA) - The Pecos City Council voted during its July 30 meeting to place City Manager Charles Lino on administrative leave, effective immediately, following an executive session.

According to a social media post by the city, the council exercised the "Unilateral Severance" provision in accordance with the terms of the city manager's contract.

The City Council is scheduled to consider appointing an interim city manager during a special meeting on Aug. 6.
