LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) - The City of Lubbock, in partnership with Texas Tech University, will host the 2026 Citywide Back-2-School Bash tomorrow, Saturday, August 1, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center (1501 Mac Davis Lane).

This free, family-friendly event will provide 8,000 K-12 students with clear backpacks and basic school supplies.

Backpacks will be distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
