BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - An 81-year-old Bryan resident who trusted a local in-home care provider to help her recover from a stroke has filed a lawsuit alleging deceptive trade practices and negligent hiring after her caregiver allegedly stole jewelry that was appraised at more than $43,000.

Bonnie Nuche, a resident of Bryan for 60 years, has filed a civil lawsuit in the 272nd District Court against the local franchise Right at Home Bryan/College Station and its owner, Jefferson Dale Christian, seeking damages after she says her trust was shattered."They were working for me," Nuche said.

"They should have been taking care of me. And they didn't do that."A Sentimental LossWhile recovering with the help of a caregiver last November, Nuche returned home from a hospital stay to find her black jewelry box was missing from her bathroom drawer.
