(KGNS) - United Independent School District is moving forward with plans to apply for a $30 million loan as it works through a budget deficit driven by declining student enrollment and rising costs, district leaders said.

Officials said the loan is intended to manage day-to-day cash flow rather than address a structural failure in the district's finances.
