WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A 43-year-old man is being held on a $100,000 bond after assaulting and strangling his girlfriend, according to an arrest affidavit.

Piotr Nowak was arrested with charges of assault family violence by strangulation with a prior conviction, assault with a prior conviction and a parole violation.
