PASADENA, Texas (KTRK) -- A Pasadena family said they are preparing to move into a new home after losing nearly everything they owned when a fire destroyed their garage on Monday night.

The father, who asked ABC13 not to show his face, said he came home on Tuesday morning to find the garage burned to the ground.

He said the family had been storing most of their belongings there while work was being done inside their old home, including a washer, dryer, boxes of clothes, toys and music memorabilia.
