Six people were rescued from suspected human trafficking during a three-day undercover operation in Comal County that also resulted in multiple arrests, according to a release from the Comal County Sheriff's Office.

In partnership with the Texas Department of Public Safety, Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Army Criminal Investigations Division and U.S. Air Force OSI, the sheriff's office conducted Operation Rolling Thunder 4, an undercover human trafficking enforcement operation, from July 28 through July 30, 2026. The release stated that investigators used undercover online chats, surveillance and coordinated enforcement teams to identify trafficking victims, apprehend offenders and gather evidence.

As a result, the sheriff's office said 157 individuals were identified responding to online advertisements.
