BEXAR COUNTY, Texas - A San Antonio man accused of sexually assaulting his 13-year-old neighbor decades ago is now being sued by the woman, who claims he impregnated her and later forced her into marriage.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Bexar County District Court, seeks more than $1 million in damages from Javier Valadez for what the woman describes as severe trauma and mental health issues stemming from the relationship that began when she was a child.

When reached for comment, the plaintiff - who is now more than 50 years old - told KSAT Investigates that based on the allegations in the complaint, her opinion is that Valadez is "a predator that manipulated a child." She declined a request from KSAT to be interviewed about the legal filing.
