(KGNS) - A Laredo man will serve more than 12 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to coercion and enticement of a minor.U.S. District Judge Marina Garcia Marmolejo sentenced Robert Lanier, 41, after he admitted to attempting to meet a 12-year-old girl for sex.

Investigators said Lanier used a messaging app to contact someone he believed to be the child's father and arranged to meet the girl at a gas station.
